Here’s a look at the design and progress of these custom stools, destined to have a home on Nantucket. The height of the stool seat is 32”. Some shaping, sanding, toning and lacquering are yet to be completed on the mixed hardwood prototype and the Walnut set.
If you’re in Malvern, Pennsylvania, you could go visit this beautiful custom Butternut Wine Rack at the General Warren Inne. Butternut is sometimes called “white Walnut”, since it is similar, but lighter colored. This piece holds 40 bottles, stemware, and openers- with panache.
Here is a modern Maple vanity for a pair of bathroom sinks. The finish is a clear lacquer which allows the unadorned natural beauty of the Maple to shine. Satin Nickel knobs and nine dovetailed solid Poplar drawers were used in this custom West Chester, PA piece.
In the woodshop, the Sassafras King Sized Platform bed is shaping up. It has six raised panel front drawers and a cove detail on the corners. The piece will get a dark chocolate stain with a dull sheen after being antiqued to look old. To see the sketches for this piece, click here.
This piece of furniture is an arched door armoire built from White Oak, Olive Ash, and Hickory lumber. The spalted wood and the swirling grain gives the piece plenty of bold and unique character. White oak custom pulls blend in with the inset doors on exposed hinges. Equally at home housing a TV and stereo components, clothes, linens… or whatever you need to store in style.  |
