The Springhouse Shop and Studio is located in Mossville's historic 1840 one room schoolhouse nestled in the heart of Pennsylvania hardwoods.
Adam Karr began his woodworking career in 1998. A former geologist, he worked alongside master craftsmen in a respected Chester County cabinet shop to learn his trade. Adam opened his own business in 2000 an old springhouse in Malvern. In 2004, the Springhouse Woodshop moved to Benton, (an easy drive to metro NYC, Philadelphia, and NJ).
Adam and Nicole Karr have been business partners since 2001 and were married in the former Mossville Church in 2005. They live in the renovated church, right next to the schoolhouse, with their daughters (and dogs). |
